Austin law firm wins delinquent tax collection contract
After an hourlong deadlock Ector County Commissioners awarded Calame Linebarger Graham a 30 day contract to collect about 2.2 million dollars in delinquent taxes. The vote followed debate over McCreary Veselka Beck Allen proposed at 12.5 percent with local hires and legality concerns prompting a state attorney general opinion.

One still jailed in drug case
Larry Dal Booe Willingham aged 32 of 3405 Uranus Ave remained in Ector County Jail on a possession of methamphetamine charge. Police, under a warrant issued by Judge R G Hungerford, arrested him at his home Sunday. Bond set at 10000 by Justice of the Peace Virgil Lumpee.
