Computer aids Wisconsin psychiatrists with new diagnostic program
At the University of Wisconsin a research program uses a computer to help students identify stress sources. Researcher Robert Ellison says the system asks 80 questions, writes a profile, and buys the patient time by handling initial diagnostics. The tool serves as a lower cost prelude to therapy and informs the psychiatrist’s first session.
