Bait workers booked in pelican deaths at Redondo Beach
John Perry Wilson and Ronald Cullen Johnson, both of Redondo Beach, were arrested on cruelty to animals charges after 31 endangered California brown pelicans were found dead or severely injured at King Harbor. Autops suggested electrocution from 115 volt wires on a bait barge. the two were released on bail pending a Jan. 3 Torrance Municipal Court hearing.
