Christening of Elizabeth Ferraro Draws Fifty Guests

Elizabeth Ferraro four months old daughter of Mr and Mrs Salvatore Ferraro of Passaic Avenue was christened Sunday. About fifty guests attended the ceremony at the church and a reception followed at the Ferraro home. Mrs Joe Ferraro served as Godmother and Jimmy, an employee of Ciccond, was Godfather.

Schoolboy Athletic Meet Set For June 16 At Park Grounds

Arrangements near completion for the Grammar School Athletic Meet to be held Saturday afternoon June 16 on the Park grounds. Superintendent J R Beachler called a Park School meeting to finalize plans. John B Heeron will supervise the Fifth Grade Boys events and the program includes dashes jumps relays chin ups and novelty races. About 170 boys participated last year and organizers expect a larger turnout.

Sunday Schools Parade in Nutley Draws Five Schools and 1000 Marchers

The third annual Sunday Schools parade will be held Saturday June 3 with five churches represented and about one thousand marchers. Marshall Donald MacMillan will be assisted by George B. McCallum and school superintendents as aides. Weather backup plans include indoor exercises at Vincent M E Church. The day features open air readings, hymns, a brass quartet, Rev Henry J Condit as speaker, and post-event refreshments.

Pastor to Lead New Hunt's Point Church After Factory Opening

Rev. Graham C. Hunter of the Reformed Church will leave Nutley for Hunt's Point New York when a new American Batk Note Company factory opens. He will lead Hunt's Point Presbyterian Church on 165th Street. Hunter came to Nutley from Larax mie Wyoming about seven weeks ago and was popular with the local congregation. The move follows an earlier temporary arrangement and a call from the New York church.

Nutley High School baseball completed a 14 game season with one loss and a 9 to 4 defeat of Belleville High at Park Grounds.
