The Red Cross enrolment campaign runs May 6 to 12 in Ver Town with 36 stores and locations serving as enlistment points. New volunteers this week include Thomas H. Ritchie, Frank P. Barr, F. Park School film show blocked by town officials
Senior Chass of the High School advertised a moving picture event in the Park School Auditorium to raise funds for a Washington trip. Park Theatre manager Dickinson argued the event violated licenses and school policy. authorities cancelled the show while offering the Park for the class’s use free of charge for a proposed screening in New York reels.

Bloomfield Man Fined for Trolley Rule Violation

Officers Reserve attracts several new enlistees
Six more boys joined the Officers Reserve to bring total enlistments to thirty-one. Everett Greenwood and Stephen H. Dorr Jr. were sworn in in New York. Thomas Nichols was sworn in in Newark. Water mains costs push DeVaunsney residents to seek delay
Residents petitioned the town to install a six inch water main under the town work plan rather than hiring a contractor. Town engineer Eliot N Smith reported iron pipe prices at one dollar per foot on site with labor bringing total to about one dollar fifty per foot, double the prior year.
