Earl Stetson Crawford artist of the Enclosure and Raymond W. Symonds have been notified of acceptance at Plattsburg. Crawford reported yesterday and Symonds leaves Nutley for the camp tonight. Symonds received a commission in the Officers Reserve Corps and will be on the Engineering division with the New England contingent. He obtained the appointment through his military training at Cornell and experience as electrical engineer for Sprague Electrical Works.

Two Men Held After Auto Theft Street Arrest
Leo Thomas and Henry Johns were arrested after an automobile was stopped at Bloomfield Avenue and Kingsland Street. The car, owned by A. J. Jackson of Providence, R. I., reportedly stolen last August, was held by police after the pair produced a $210 receipt and claimed to have bought it from a Boston garage owner. Both men were taken to police headquarters and later released.

Funeral Rites Held for Thomas Greenwood at Grace Church
Funeral services for Thomas Greenwood of 152 Brookfield Avenue were held last night at Grace Church. Rev Douglas Matthews officiated with a choir and organ selections. Greenwood, an attorney for the Silk Manufacturers Association of America, died Wednesday in Mountainside Hospital Montclair after an operation. He leaves a wife and two children Mrs Nathan Marcus of Passaic and Everett Greenwood. Burial in family plot at South Egremont Massachusetts will follow.
