Funeral of S. P. Vreeland in Nutley follows Dryden death
Stephen P. Vreeland, 72, Nutley native and longtime water clerk, died suddenly while dining at his Dryden home. The service was held at his cousin Arthur L. Vreeland’s house in Nutley with Rev. Powers officiating, followed by burial in Methodist Cemetery. He served in the Civil War, led G A R posts, and is survived by his widow and two Nutley sisters.

Six Year Old Accidentally Shoots Sister in Belleville Home
James Falcone aged six at 18 King Street Belleville found a loaded revolver in the Sponsato home on Hancox Avenue. He fired killing his sister Ron Falcone aged five last Sunday afternoon.
