Nutley A. C. loses 16 to 6 to Park A. C. in a clash marked by errors and tense moments. Fouser faltered in the fourth, Perkins misjudged a sprint in the ninth, Hawkins was knocked unconscious by a pitch, and Jamison excelled after replacing him. Umpire Bishop’s controversial call led to a change with Eddie Mutch taking over. Park A. C. visits Monterey A. C. for an afternoon matchup after already beating Nutley once this season.
While playing at Park grounds last Saturday afternoon Nutley catcher Martin Hawkins was hit by a pitched ball above the ear and rendered unconscious for hours. Dr Phil Howers attended the injured player who was later able to return home with Arthur Stager assisting. Hawkins hopes to play again this afternoon. St Pauls Congregational Church schedule announced with services and classes.
