The Second Ward Association will host a Taxation discussion at Town Hall Auditorium on Thursday night February 2. Jersey City attorney George L. Blazing Girl Saved by Rug By Quick Action
Miss Minnie Sayer a seamstress in Passaic was saved from serious injuries when her clothing caught fire after a lamp toppled from a sewing machine. Miss Florence Swift dragged a rug around Sayers to smother the flames and nearby workers aided until Mrs Austin and Mr. Austin extinguished the blaze with water. Neighbors joined in and the fire was out before the fire department arrived. Damaged stock and furnishings total about 160 dollars. clothing and trims saved worth about 400 dollars.
