Mrs Charlotte A Redman Dies At 83 In Local Home
Mrs Charlotte Amelia Redman aged 83 died Monday at 604 Centre Street after a two week illness bronchial trouble the cause. Widow of Charles H Redman who died sixteen years ago she was born in Paterson and lived most of her life in Newark. She was active in the Methodist Episcopal Church. Funeral services were held at her son Charles H Redman’s home 16 William Street East Orange and burial in Fairmount Cemetery Newark Surviving besides the son are Walter L Redman and Mrs E W Searing both of this town.

City to Issue Summons for Delinquent Dog Owners
Authorities begin issuing summons to dog owners who have not obtained licenses. The deadline is February 28, after which delinquents must appear in court or pay a fine. This year’s census counts about 600 dogs and 200 female dogs in town, small increases from last year.

Body of Unknown Woman Recovered from River Bank Near Bendview Hotel
A badly deteriorated body of a woman about 30 to 40 years old was found by 11 year old John Martell along the riverbank near the old Bendview Hotel. Henry Mortensen retrieved the body, which police believe lay in the water a week or more. The deceased wore undergarments with a black wrapper, quality garments, no jewelry or labels, and stood about 5 feet 4 inches tall, roughly 138 pounds.
