Nutley reports a state funding boost for stone roads from 250000 to 600000. A wedding on Passaic avenue unites Charles Warren and Mary Eilen Biker. Local clubs, schooling efforts, and preparations for a state firemen parade are noted along with civic developments and business notices.
The Rev. William Stuarts, chairman of the Newark Classis, asks locals to donate or lend relics from the Dutch period for a regional exhibit. Photographs sketches and family items have been secured and more can be shared with Mr Stuart. The exhibition opened yesterday.
The Powershon Lane Tennis Club opens its season on Saturday May 4 with member matches and anticipated contests for prizes from the Tournament Committee. Visitors will be welcomed and the club also hosts a whist and dance on Friday May 10 at the Fortnightly Club House with tickets from members.
Mr. L. 0. Rubao, now a resident of Dover, N. D., is in town for a few days.

Ordinances on streets and bids for concrete sidewalk approved. executive session followed on hose wagon issues. Bills totaled 248,865, and the council adjourned to May 1.
Mayor Brown aided by neighborhood residents and a large youth group battled a fire that broke out in a barn owned by G. B. Sherwood. Nutley Hose Company arrived first. investigators suspect a passing locomotive caused the blaze.
Ex judge Alfred F Skinner drew cheers as a potential governor candidate at a Rutgers Club dinner at DeJisade's. The event, highlighted by Rev Dr W H Demarest, placed Skinner on a growing list of horsemen mentioned for governor in the past month.
