Trial of Patrolman Johnson Ends in Guilty Verdict
Monday night the Board of Commissioners found Patrolman William Johnson guilty on charges including failing to send in a duty call and drunken on duty. Witnesses testified Johnson appeared intoxicated and used indecent language. Johnson claimed his duty call was sent though others contradicted him. The board voted to dismiss him from the force and a contract for paving water work was approved on the motion of Commissioner Arthur Gerry.
