Wakeman family builds private pool in small town home addition
In Wakeman Ohio the Burke family at 41 River Street added a 24 by 34 foot home extension housing a 12 by 28 foot pool with graduated depth and eight inch safety ledge. The pool uses a white fiberglass liner with blue bottom paint and is run six hours daily with backwash every ten days. The interior features brick walls an open beam cathedral ceiling a beach area rug and various lighting options.

Cholera Marker Memorializes 1849 52 Epidemics in Sandusky
In Sandusky the cholera victims and caring doctors and nurses will be honored with an Official Ohio Historical Marker at Cholera Cemetery west end. The 1849 outbreak killed about 400 residents and prompted mass flight. The ceremony features Daniel R. Porter of The Ohio Historical Society and Charles E. Frohman of the Sandusky State Society.
