New London Adopts Curb Metered Water Service
The New London Board of Public Affairs requires all new water installations to be metered through a curb vault to avoid entering homes for readings. The change raises the meter vault fee by 20 dollars from 150. State tests on a new East Main line await approval as 1,600 feet of work completes toward a 13,300 foot project due by February 14. A New London reservoir plan remains under review amid industrial growth, and Pat Cassidy is authorized to order materials for water and sewage treatment.
