Willard Council Rejects Continental Cable Increase

Willard City Council rejected a 13.4 percent Continental Cablevision rate hike citing poor service and agreed to renegotiate. The increase raises minimum monthly charges from 5.85 to 6.75 effective Sept 1 under an inflation adjustment. The panel also discussed Oktoberfest permits, regional planning, taxi franchise, garage sale signs, and support for a General Telephone hearing.

Norwalk Jaycees induct fiftenn at M Night event

The Norwalk Jaycees held their first quarter M Night at the Huron County AAA with Rob Hurst as chairman. Speakers included Bud Schiefer Dave Van Laar and Mayor Wayne Goodsite. An auction highlighted the evening while Mike Ruggles won a trophy for bringing in seven new members.
