Firelands Museum Items Shown at Ford Exhibit Dearborn
Three items from Firelands Museum join the Arts and Crafts of the Northwest Territory exhibit at Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. The Abbott Twins portrait from 1832 unknown itinerant painter, an Ohio Brownware plate signed by an East Palestine potter commemorating Garfield, and a Windsor style plank seat chair by Samuel Kilburn of New London circa 1850 are on loan. Curator Jim Overhuls notes pride in the primitive collection while the exhibit runs weekends through December. The Rathskeller at Sandusky’s Erie Inn hosts Norwalk artist Charles Bishop murals with Bishop among opening guests.
