A 72 year old Norwalk widow, Mrs Hedwig Landoll of 26 Reed Street, was duped Wednesday morning in a pigeon drop scam. She withdrew 5000 and handed it to two women after being told the money would be held by an insurance agency for 30 days. The con involved a red haired woman who vanished after claiming the found cash.

Gas Man Posed as Utility Worker Conned Woman Out Of Five
Police seek a man who falsely claimed to be from the gas company and took $5 from May Bell Huff of Norwalk after inspecting her meter.
