State workers alleged to aid Rhodes on state time

Ohio State Auditor Thomas Ferguson released a special report alleging that highway employees in the Ashland District circulated nominating petitions for Gov. James A. Rhodes during regular hours and in state vehicles. The 111 page investigation details petitions handed out by Deputy Director Curtis Andrews and notes workers were on non pay status when picked up. The report, sent to the attorney general and Franklin County prosecutor, is described as a special inquiry rather than a normal audit.
