New London reports near completion of repairs to exposed concrete walls at the village sewage plant. Superintendent Fred Monroe says rebuilds on the Imhoff tank and rotary distributors will protect against weathering and ensure drinking water safety.
Sohivan will speak at the Hur on County Farm Bureau annual dinner at 7 p.m. Monday Oct. 26 at the VFW Hall Norwalk. Guthrie associate director of public relations for Sohio and former Cleveland news commentator will discuss farm policy resolutions. In Norwalk on October 19 the Huron County Society for Crippled Children held its annual meeting. Mrs Alfred D Etterre North Fairfield was elected president with John Borgia Norwalk as vice president and Ralph Parker Willard as treasurer. The group approved a $3400 budget for the coming year and reported Easter seal drives and funds aiding local special education and therapy programs.
