Norwalk awarded the sanitary sewer project on Grove and Ontario Streets to A J Riley for 20327 dollars. A 25 year old Wake man in good condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital after an unsuccessful attempt at death by own action. He seized a paring knife from his wife Monday afternoon and stabbed himself in the abdomen amid suspected marital troubles. He had taken tranquilizers with no effect before the act.
