UPI reports Vietnam losses total 5993 aircraft and helicopters valued at 6 billion dollars as 28 aircraft were lost in the last nine days. Raymond Wren 19 Lorain was found guilty of malicious burning in a 250000 fire at Clearview High School May 6. sentencing postponed pending appeal.

In Ohio the Weather Bureau reported a waterspout over Lake Erie near Painesville with winds driving cold air, not a tornado, and warned of possible more waterspouts.
