Janny Carol VanderPyl and Lucien John Norman married Friday at St Paul Catholic Church with Rev. John Bishop officiating. The bride, daughter of Anne and VanderPyl, is a nursing graduate and LPN at Good Samaritan Hospital, Sandusky. The groom, son of Lucien J. Norman, is an Edison and Akron alumnus and an inventory clerk at Union Chain Co., Sandusky. They will reside in Huron.
The Halcyon Chapter OES of East Townsend sponsors an October 18 dinner and bake sale at East Townsend Lodge Collins Hartland Center Road. Prices are 3.50 for adults and 1.75 for ages 6 to 12 with under six free. Proceeds support Christie Lane. A Busy school and community calendar note tentative plans to attend Bye Bye Birdie at Towne & Country Theatre in November and a Norwalk Garden Club meeting date change to November 14 at Mrs. W D Conway.
The Hidden Talents program will be held at Milan Town Hall on Thursday with two sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Service, the event features Beverly Koenig of Ohio State University as a guest resource person and includes self discovery exercises and ideas for club programs and entertainment.
