Norwalk to allow cautious right turns on red at Milan Avenue with Gallup Road, Milan Avenue with League Street, and West with Main Streets starting Monday. Mayor Wayne Goodsite said drivers may turn after a full stop with no expected danger to pedestrians or motorists.
The Civil Aeronautics Board seeks public input on whether all smoking should be banned on commercial airliners with responses due by November 8. Action on Smoking and Health urged a total ban, while the CAB plans to study the issue. Previously airlines had to provide nonsmoker seating.
