Car hits U turn truck in Sandusky kills two
In Sandusky Ohio two people were killed and two seriously injured when a car struck a semi truck making a U turn on Ohio 53 three miles north of Fremont. Victims were William J. Slauterbeck 28 of Port Clinton and Claudio Contreras 45 of Clyde. The driver Crispen Ortiz 21 and Benny Contreras 17 both of Clyde were hospitalized in critical condition. The truck driver injured none. No citation issued.

A three year old boy playing with matches caused a fire at 144 East Main Street Norwalk apartment building owned by Randy Herner.
