Milan village council to reconsider charges against fired chief

A 7 p.m. Tuesday special Milan Council meeting will consider a rehearing request on charges against former police chief Gary Limbird. Limbird was fired after a Tuesday night vote following a closed executive session where witnesses testified. His lawyer Leonard Catri of Sandusky requested the rehearing.

Edison To Seek Rate Hike For Large Ohio Edison Customers

Ohio Edison plans a 14.5 percent average rise for large commercial and industrial customers in Norwalk and 9.5 percent overall across 146 communities. Residential and small business customers in Sandusky would see about seven percent, with 53 communities receiving little or no increase. The PUCO filing follows notices mailed to 146 municipalities 90 days before the application. The company cites rising plant costs and inflation as drivers for the higher rates.
