Washington Redskins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen escaped unharmed from a late night automobile crash near his northwest Washington home. He was taken to Doctors Hospital for observation, with X rays negative and minor facial contusions reported as the only injuries.
Denver public school teachers plan a strike leading to the closure of 25 junior and senior high schools and over half of the 89 elementary schools. It would be Colorado's first teacher strike. DCTA members voted to strike after pay scale talks faltered. Effect on 96000 students undetermined.
The Printing Pressmen's Union Local 5 voted Sunday to strike at midnight Wednesday unless a new contract with the Press and the Plain Dealer is reached. President Moe Coe said the expired contract, extended seven months, is now considered long enough.

Starkey submitted objections May 19 and received an extension to September 1 to comply.
Dr. Arnold ruled the nursing home has not complied and revokes its license. Mrs. Starkey and attorneys Hiltz and Wiedemann appeal in Huron County Common Pleas Court claiming the order lacks reliable evidence and legality. They request a suspension of the revocation during appeal due to alleged unusual hardship from closing.
