Miss Mary Keefe awoke to a station wagon driven by 18 year old Michael Carr of Brasher Falls inside her house in Helena New York. The vehicle crashed through the home moving the bed and leaving the house three feet off its foundation. Carr was hospitalized with multiple injuries while Keefe suffered minor injuries.
Patrick E Dolan 18, kidnapped son of Richard J Dolan director of Swift and Company Brazil, was found dead on a farm about 37 miles west of Sao Paulo. Police say they captured a suspect believed part of the kidnap group.
Winifred Chapman, the 55 year old maid who discovered actress Sharon Tate and four others slain, has been found alive in Southern California. Police had reported her missing since Oct. 10 but declined to reveal her whereabouts. She declined further publicity.
Bobby Seale drawn from the Chicago Eight trial is sentenced to four years for contempt acts. Judge Julius Hoffman also declares a mistrial and imposes three months for each of sixteen counts, with Seale's lawyer signaling an appeal to the Supreme Court.
Former spaceman John Glenn in Columbus said he is seeking financial support for a possible entry into the Democratic primary for Ohio’s U S Senate seat. He has contacted several individuals locally to arrange backing and noted he lacks funds to open an office.

Despite a leg wound, he advanced on an enemy bunker to enable his unit to complete its mission before the bunker was destroyed. Wells informed sources report Henry Cabot Lodge is frustrated by the Paris talks and may resign as chief negotiator by year end. White House and State Department would not confirm a push for replacement, though no formal request is seen yet.
The first degree murder trial of John Brown enters its fourth day as opening arguments slip to Friday or Monday. Nineteen jurors questioned with twelve seated, six challenges per side used, alternates to follow, as more jurors may be excused for cause amid death penalty debates. Brown is charged with killing William Famulare, 26, of Bellevue last April.
The utility study committee discussed potential underground electrical cables for Sycamore Hills, a newly annexed 170 acre residential business development in Norwalk. The light committee will be asked to meet to discuss feasibility and future subdivisions.
