Norwalk's Clifford F. Brown Wins Sixth District Appeal Court

Clifford F. Brown defeats incumbent Clyde L. Deeds in unofficial 126540 to 116335 vote for the Sixth District Court of Appeals. Brown carries seven of eight counties, with large margins in Huron Sandusky and Erie. Deeds wins Lucas County narrowly. district precincts unfinished do not alter result. Brown, a Norwalk attorney and former Huron County judge, lives at 352 E Main St with wife and four children.

Sweeney Wins In Ohio House Race Upsets Shifts Predicted

Narrow victory in Huron judges race ends with one vote

Incumbent Robert A. Wiedemann unofficially edged Philip M. White Jr. for Huron County Court judge in district two by one vote 6109 to 6108. Wiedemann carried most Norwalk precincts. White drew strength in the county south. White may not seek a recount.

Mosher Wins in Thirteenth District Victory Margin Revealed

Congressman Charles A. Mosher won reelection in Ohio's thirteenth district by about 12 000 votes over Norwalk Mayor Louis G. Frey. Final totals: Mosher 74776 Frey 62232 with Mosher carrying all four counties Huron Erie Lorain and Sandusky. Frey conceded around 1130 p.m. Tuesday saying he had no regrets and enjoyed the campaign.
