Ohio House OKs School Discipline Bill in 67 25 Vote
The Ohio House adopted a federal court compliant plan for suspensions up to 10 days and expulsions requiring notice and hearings. The bill allows immediate removal by teachers for danger with 72 hour hearing, and includes amendments on representation and board powers. Opponents argued against state wide procedures for 613 districts.
