Truck Rams Car No Injury in Broadside Collision
Mrs. Viola Bollinger of Akron was cited for cutting in too soon after passing when her car was pushed off U S 224 by a semi driven by Cloyce Conine 31 of rural Ottawa. Her daughter Jodie sustained a head bump as both vehicles were damaged and Old State Road blocked for half an hour. Nearby Charles H Boehler 28 of Bellevue flipped a car on U S 20 near Prairie Road and was admitted to Bellevue Hospital with serious lacerations. The crash remains under investigation.

Merchants Back Bid to Cut Personal Tax Rate in Norwalk
Area merchants from the 13th Ohio Senatorial District met in Norwalk to support House Bill 480 reducing the personal tax rate for retail and wholesale merchants from 70 percent to 50 percent.
