No-Hit Miller Pins Galion In NOL Showdown

Galion High pitcher Tom Miller threw the first no-hitter for Galion since 1973, beating Norwalk 1-0 to pull the Tigers into a first place tie with Norwalk in the Northern Ohio League. Miller struck out 12, with a fourth inning error singling out a rare baserunner, while Norwalk freshman Rick Leibold allowed only two hits in a strong complete-game effort. The win extends Galion’s seven-game streak as both teams sit 9-4 in the NOL, with Bellevue awaiting Galion and Lima hosting Norwalk in regional play.
