Memorial Day Plans Set North Fairfield Village Parade
Memorial Day plans include a 9 a.m. Monday parade from the village square led by Legion Commander Alfred E. Statzer. Speaker Lloyd Owens of Vermilion, a former 5th district officer, will address attendees. South Central High School Band, directed by Ron Zoz, provides music before the parade proceeds to the cemetery on Ohio 162 east. Denise Bragg and Paul Roeder announce their engagement. both are Monroeville High School 1976 graduates. Denise works at Huron County Bank. Paul attends Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan. An August wedding is planned.

On My Honor Troop Activities And Poppy Day
Junior and Brownie Girl Scout groups held meetings and events in May at the United Methodist Church and Brownie Troop 108 welcomed 11 kindergarten girls. Plans included selling red poppies May 26, fundraiser clothes for Camp Singing River, a cook out May 23, and a contact point for joining mothers. Mayor Randy Garner declared Friday Poppy Day. scouts will sell poppies door to door made by disabled veterans.
