Six Generations Lived In No Home

NORTH FAIRFIELD a pioneer Aaron Smith built a large white frame house at Ridge and Hanville Corners Roads. Now owned by Mrs Richard Keefer and family with three daughters it preserves a 19th century air. The fence, stone posts and walnut rails attract visitors. The house sits near a two foot thick stone foundation barn and a smaller barn used for storage. A Parratt inscription marks 1859 on the fence post. Ray Fasca l 86, a descendant, remembers the shop blowup that killed his great grandfather and a cider mill once in the shop basement. The Keefers treasure the aged home as a family anchor.
