Wheat Pool deadline set for May 31 in Huron County
Farm Bureau Wheat Pool final sign up date is May 31 per Huron County Farm Bureau President Ralph Walcher. He forecasts a large 1968 US wheat crop despite an 18 percent drop in Ohio acreage and cites a need for orderly marketing with export limited by European planting rates. Signing contracts for 300 tons of water softener salt was awarded to Morton Salt Co. by the Board of Public Affairs.
