Willard Residents Battle To Save Maple and Crab Trees
Willard residents resist removal of 58 silver maple trees and 66 flowering crab trees on Myrtle Ave. The Tree and Beautification Committee advised removing the endangered maples and relocating or pruning others amid traffic concerns. The Garden Club and residents favor preserving the trees as a city landmark and the “City of Blossoms” theme, with a final committee report due May 23.
