Black power advocate H. Rap Brown wed Lynne Doswell, 22, on May 3 in Mamaroneck at the home of attorney William M. Kunstler. Brown, 24, faces federal firearms charges in New Orleans at present.
The Cleveland Browns traded defensive tackle Frank Parker and quarterback Dick Shiner plus a draft pick to Pittsburgh for quarterback Bill Nelson and defensive back Jim Bradshaw. Nelson and Bradshaw are coming off regular five year Steelers careers. Nelson is a six foot tall 195 pound USC alumnus and Bradshaw a Chattanooga product.
The 23rd annual Pet N Pup parade happens Saturday May 25 at 9 30 a m assembling on Church Case Streets and West Main to Manahan. Sponsored by Nor walk Merchants Eagles VFW and Park and Recreation. UPI reports a NBC commissioned survey showing Robert F Kennedy capturing about 47 percent of Nebraska Democratic primary votes. Eugene McCarthy would tally 22 percent, Hubert Humphrey 9 percent, and Lyndon B. Johnson 7 percent with write ins possible.

Fines for dumping after the deadline range from 50 to 500 dollars, with residents urged to use door to door pickups or the nearby Huron County Landfill at North Fairfield. The meeting also addressed papers and trash left for pickup and funeral procession traffic control.
Agriculture agent John Wells says frost damage to peaches is not serious though some thinning occurred. Norwalk farmer Donald Robertson reports heavy damage to peaches and pears with few live fruits remaining. Sheriff Borgia awaits surgeon general’s all clear before using Mace. Norwalk schools seek a high school guidance counselor as a five mill levy funds arrive next year. first disbursement is planned for late March 1969.
The Norwalk City Board of Education will consider resignations from 11 teachers, raising total resignations since January to 23 among a staff of 121. Proceeding items include potential leave for Mildred Burns, rehiring of current staff, four new teachers, and calendar and program discussions.
Gov James Rhodes plans a May 27 visit to Norwalk for the bypass dedication. He will fly from Columbus in a DC-3 to land at Huron County Airport funded by a 100000 state county program. Norman Crabtree praised the new airstrip as smooth and suitable for charter jets.
