McCloskey Opens Campaign HQ in Washington for Nixon Challenge
Representative Paul N. McCloskey of California has opened a national campaign office in Washington and will hire a coordinator to mobilize supporters in states with primaries. He threatens to oppose President Nixon in 1972 unless Nixon changes Southeast Asia policy and leads a “Dump Nixon” movement. McCloskey, 43, may decide by December and could back Lindsay or Hatfield if another candidate is stronger. Nixon aides dismiss the bid as not serious.

City to seek funds for U S 250 resurfacing within limits
