Two North Fairfield youths aged 16 and 15 were jailed in Wise County Virginia after being arrested on auto larceny charges for stealing Maurice Fishbaughs 1974 blue Mustang from Greenwich Monday evening. The car was abandoned near US 23 with witnesses spotting the suspects hitchhiking.

Car Misses Curve Kills One Man Near Norwalk Ohio
Ross E. Ridgeway 32 of Norwalk died when his Chevrolet Vega struck a tree on Ohio 61 three miles northeast of Norwalk around 12:45 a.m. Travis Springer 25 of Monroeville survived with cuts. Ridgeway leaves wife Shirley and daughter Brenda plus two brothers and two sisters. Funeral set for Saturday at Kubach Smith Funeral Home with Capt. Stanley Wells officiating.

At Norwalk High School tonight 8 to 9 p m teachers talk with visitors as about 2600 dollars was raised each night for no interest loans to Norwalk college students. The National Guard Armory hosted a two night auction with 132 bidders Tuesday and 145 Wednesday lasting to 11 p m. Roger Wilkinson noted steadier bids Wednesday and many items selling for 25 to 30 dollars. Mrs Lendrum praised the helpers and thanked the community.
