School Paper Helps Pass WR Bond Issue
Western Reserve voters approved a 378000 bond issue to add six classrooms and a music room after defeating it last November by one vote. The 1.7 mill levy passed 525 to 362 with Christie Lane School and a county workshop levy also succeeding. Supt. Ferres noted inflation and plans to consult with architect Marr Knapp Crawfis about what can be built. Students published a newspaper backing the measure.

Bond issue passes as voters rally with campaign support
Ferres credits parent involvement and a campaign pamphlet for the bond approval. Several tax measures were defeated, including Buckeye Central bond, Wellington levy, and Seneca East land transfer to Tiffin. South Central 10-mill levy renews taxes with 433 yes to 154 no. Wellington renewals pass while the 8 mill additional levy fails 709 no to 494 yes, risking district closure before year end.
