Thomas Arthur Dillon of rural Norwalk is jailed on a motor vehicle theft charge after Monroeville Police stopped a stolen truck tied to a Norwalk bulletin. The vehicle, reported missing from Milan Avenue, was spotted at a Monroeville station and halted on Route 99. A second stolen truck case involved a 1949 model taken from David Dolbee. Dolbee later recovered his vehicle from a used car lot.
William V. Buck Jones, 60, entombed five miles deep in the Deep Lark ore mine near Salt Lake City since March 1, was rescued Sunday night. He praised the Lord and wept with his wife in an ambulance as doctors prepared to assess his condition.
