Three Lorain teenagers John C. Kelly 19 Dennis Vance 18 and Jerry MacLay 18 were killed when their car was struck by an eastbound Norfolk and Western train at Beaver Park crossing Police attributed the crash to the crossing dangers amid the tragedy in Lorain Ohio.

Pleads Guilty In Rape Case
Don Ward twenty one of 941/2 East Monroe Street pleaded guilty to statutory rape. He was arrested by Nor walk police after a fifteen year old Sandusky girl told police she had been intimate with him. Ward originally pled not guilty and received six months in the workhouse with suspended sentence and court costs.
