Planned improvements include Memorial Lake Park shelter house, tennis courts, backstop repairs at Pleasant Street Park, picnic tables, drinking fountains, and more playground equipment. The recreation budget was sent to the mayor and city auditor. Roof repair at the recreation center will go to bid, while Memorial Lake clubhouse and furnace work proceed. Weekly programs will include swimming lessons at Whitney Field pool, tennis, and arts and crafts.
