Norwalk Fluoridation Project To Begin In May
Norwalk starts installing equipment to fluoridate its water at a cost of 1618 dollars with completion expected by May 1. Total project cost nears 3000 dollars, including 1200 dollars for labor. Equipment includes 535 dollars for apparatus 225 dollars for a scale 425 dollars for a fluoride meter and 245 dollars for a meter electrode. State law requires fluoridation unless a 1970 referendum rejected it. Norwalk voters approved fluoridation and the system must be ready by January 1, 1972.

Michigan Man Killed In Highway Crash In Norwalk
Richard L. Arquette aged 38 from Morenci Michigan died when his semi-trailer left U S 250 south of Norwalk struck a utility pole and overturned into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the body sent to Eastman Funeral Home New London. Authorities reported no skid marks or witnesses and the cause under investigation.
