A Norwalk woman reported her purse missing after leaving it at Dari-Dee on U.S. 20 and Old State. Linda Nopper, 13A Harkness St., said she returned but found no purse containing about 150 dollars. A 10-year-old found eight dollars and turned it in by Norwalk High School. David Bressman, 60 Parsons Sr., reported.
The Huron County Humane Society plans a grand opening for its new animal shelter at 258 Benedict Ave on July 3. Visitors may use the driveway to the former Shady Lane Home for the 9 30 a.m. to 5 p.m. open house.
Dan Reeves manager of T&A Thrif-T-Mart will address the Business Men’s Breakfast this Saturday at 7 a.m. at Dan’s Coffee Corner Dining Room. The event, sponsored by the Norwalk Christian Business Men’s Committee, is open to area men.
Two-car backing crash on North Pleasant Street involved Gregory A. Pesnell and Clarence O. Adelman with no charges after both moved vehicles before police arrived. Another minor damage report stemmed from a parked car on Seminary Street. A rural Norwalk woman was charged with improper left turn after an accident at U S 250 and Mason Road involving Lucille M. Bick and Robert Shepherd. Diana L. Hale was charged with failure to stop after rear-ending William C. Kline at U S 224 and New State Road. both drivers were uninjured.
