Police report a Monday break-in at Pleasant Elementary as doors and a lock were forced. Burglar gained entry through a broken 18 inch window into a storage room and basement, taking a watch and two keys. Desks were rummaged and the office entered. Firefighters battled a trash bin blaze at Kent Sporting Goods in New London.

Radio Stolen From Greenwich Truck
Roger L. June of Greenwich reported a citizen's band radio valued at $200 stolen from his truck Tuesday morning. A vent window had been pried open to gain entry, with the vehicle parked in the lot since about 6 a.m. He found the loss around 11:30 a.m.
