Mystery Blasts Believed Solved in Norwalk

Authorities suspect plastic bags filled with explosive gas floated into the air caused several Norwalk blasts. Fire Chief Elmer McGuckin confirmed a bag fragment was found and a source described a cigarette fuse triggering acetylene and helium bags. Police denied an active investigation.

Girls State elects Michele Dorsett Ohio governor

Michele Susan Dorsett 17, Whitehall High School in Columbus, was elected Girls State governor on Tuesday. She ran with the Nationalists Party as the convention runs this week at Capital University with other elected officials including Nancy Nemecek, Avis Lyons, Julie Washington, Penny Ward and Chloe Beal. In Lorain, Golden Curry 48 was charged with felonious assault after a dispute with youths left Alisa Watson 14 wounded in the neck. Watson is in serious condition at St Joseph Hospital.

A Cincinnati man sues Johnny Bench and Bob Bailey of the Reds in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court over 2500 dollars paid to become a distributor in a water purifier venture. He says only seven of ten purifiers were delivered and the promised training and marketing support were not provided.
