Retiree seeks Norwalk school board seat petitions filed
George W. Scott a 70 year old Norwalk resident has taken out petitions for a seat on the Norwalk school board and is gathering signatures. He cites experience from a long local life and wants better essentials in education and better teacher pay. Jeffery Laycock also filed petitions for one of two board seats as terms of Delianides and Waugh expire and Myers unexpired term will be filled in November.

Two men held after Turnpike shooting near Olmsted Falls
Ohio patrol arrested David Boozer 18 and Brian Turchetta 20, both Olmsted Township, on felonious assault charges after gunfire from a 12 gauge shotgun struck a truck near Olmsted Falls. Driver Carl Woodward of Elkhart Ind was uninjured. Both suspects jailed then released on bond. Separately Kenneth Wargo 34 of Norwalk lost control on Crescent Road and device hit a sign post. no injuries or citations reported.
