Prospects Bright For New London Reservoir
A New London delegation met state officials in Columbus to re activate plans for a proposed reservoir. Art Waldorf and Sen Harry Jump said funding will come as federal and state money becomes available, with New London and the Archibald Wauseon projects next in line. Fred Monroe urged action citing dire water needs and fire emergency limits, noting current well field yields 302000 gallons daily while peak pumping nears that level. Petitions with 429 signatures supported the project and officials discussed policies on storage treatment and regional servicing, money possibly available within six months.
