Brown Suspect In LA Assault

Jimmy Brown film star and former NFL rushing leader, arrested after police found Eva Marie Bohnchin seriously injured beneath his Los Angeles apartment. She suffered a dislocated shoulder and head injuries while Brown was released on bail. arraignment set for June 13.

Theft Suspect Held After Cash Box Robbery

Norwalk police were to seek grand larceny charges against Robert L. George of 47 Whittlesey Ave. He is held in the Huron County jail after a cash box was stolen from Helen's Restaurant at 42 Benedict Ave. Police recovered 361 dollars from him. George had worked at the restaurant and a door was found open in the early Sunday theft.

Four Cars In City Accident Leaves Several Hurt and Cited

A four car chain reaction occurred Saturday night in Norwalk near 9 Cline St. Louis R. Danner, 55, of Loudonville, was cited for failing to stop within a safe distance and improper backing after his car rear ended one vehicle and struck others. Danner was treated for facial injuries. Bailey and Trotter reported back pain but declined aid. A separate crash on Route 61 left William A. Dye, 22, injured and cited for failing to drive on the right side.

Westmoreland rules out classic victory in Vietnam

Gen William Westmoreland warned that a traditional military triumph in Vietnam is impossible under current policy. The Route 20 bypass opened at 3 p.m. with final inspection completed Friday. Project costs totaled 7.5 million dollars with 5.6 million construction, 1.4 million right of way, and 0.5 million for engineers.
