Rioters Clash in Milan Universities and Paris Violence
In Milan more than 1,500 leftists rioted for hours, clashing with police and occupying two universities and an art exhibit. Over 200 were arrested and several injured. In Paris, renewed student unrest threatened June elections, while in Washington the Poor People’s Campaign replaced Bayard Rustin with Sterling Tucker after Rustin’s controversial statement.

First woman heart transplant recipient dies on operating table
Esther Matthews a 41 year old African American homemaker died on the operating table an hour and a half after a heart was implanted in Parkland Memorial Hospital Dallas. The four and a half hour operation was conducted by a UT Southwestern team. Donor was Bobby Wayne Blocker 26 of Euless Texas who died in a Wednesday car crash.

Area Man Drowns At Holiday Lakes In Willard
Edwin Keene 18 of Plymouth drowned after going to Holiday Lakes with three friends. His body was recovered three hours later in seven feet of water with the Erie County Underwater Recovery Team aiding the search. Keene, a 1967 Plymouth High School graduate, worked for Midwest Industries and is survived by parents siblings and grandparents. funeral services set for 2 p.m. Monday at the family home with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery New Haven.

May Plead Insanity Sirhan Is Indicted
Sirhan B. Sirhan was indicted for Kennedy’s murder and appeared in a highly secured jailhouse chapel arraignment. He requested a delay to June 28 to formally answer the charge. Judge Alarcon named two psychiatrists to evaluate the 24 year old defendant as security kept 200 journalists outside.

Four City Accidents Injure Two People
Norwalk police investigated four accidents Friday and this morning injuring two. Russell M. Hildebrand 22 of Mansfield hit a tree near Cline League Street and was treated for a broken nose and facial cuts. A mail truck driver Anthony Montella 57 of Lansing Mich was cited for driving left of center after a collision with Phillip Wilson 24 of Bellevue. Norbert A. Smith 17 of Erie Street was cited for failing to yield after a collision with Robert Jenny 44 of Wakeman. Jerry Mason 28 of Whittlesey Avenue collided with a halted car driven by Mrs. Rodney Brown 24 of Monroeville.

Norwalk Bypass Aims to Open Early Next Week
The Norwalk four lane bypass is expected to open Monday or Tuesday after inspectors found remaining work. Assistant engineer C F Crissinger advised weekend openings are avoided to prevent unsafe conditions with no highway staff on site. Crissinger did not detail the outstanding tasks but said they should be cleared soon.
